Designed for horses who have completed their respective careers, either through age or injury, who deserve a peaceful yet pampered retirement. At Valenor Equestrian, retirees can graze in peace and receive daily attention and regular enrichment activities to keep them in as good a condition as possible, both mentally and physically.
We encourage an arrangement where retirees can graze together, in a herd size of no more than 4, however single paddock arrangements are also available.

Retirement care includes:

- 2 acres per horse (minimum) either in a single paddock or shared

- Horses in a shared paddock will be penned individually for feed time to ensure slower eaters have stress free mealtimes

- Rolled wire fences with electric top strand

- Access to fresh tank water

- Natural shade, with some paddocks fitted with purpose-built horse shelters

- Regular paddock cleans and paddock rotation

- Twice daily feeding/watering/rugging

- Included daily feed of either a biscuit of lucerne hay or basic hard feed of lucerne chaff, salt, and Jenquine All-4-Feet.
(Additional calorie/energy/supplements to be provided by owner. Roughage type can be altered for medical reasons)

- Jenquine Calsorb block available in all paddocks

- Regular brushing/bathing/coat maintenance

- Medicating/management of medical conditions (additional costs included depending on requirements)

- Regular hand walking for enrichment and fitness

- Regular worming (purchased by owner)

- Regular farrier and vet visits organised (billed to owner)
 

Prices:

Pricing begins at $200 per week and is subject to change as per our terms & conditions.

• Paddock agistment = $60 p/wk

• Weekly care = $70 p/wk

• Included daily feed = $40 p/wk

• Enrichment and coat care = $30 p/wk
